About this piece

The Oak & Hour king platform bed reduces the frame to clean solid-wood rails, softly rounded corners, and a low open stance. Light brown FAS-grade wood uses edge-glued staves beneath a clear matte finish. Japanese-style round sockets, cylindrical tenons, and stationary wood wedges connect the structure without visible metal hardware.

The frame measures 84.5 inches long by 80.5 inches wide by 14 inches high and fits an 80-by-76-inch king mattress. LVL laminated-wood slats attach with non-slip hook-and-loop strips above a central support leg. The platform carries up to 800 pounds and leaves 10 inches of open storage clearance below.

Assembly takes about 20 minutes without tools; all components arrive in one package. Seat each joint completely and install every stationary wedge before placing the mattress. A box spring is not required. Keep the central support level and avoid overfilling the under-bed area where stored items could press against the slats. Keep wedges secure.
